Apple has increased iPhone charging speed via MagSafe Battery Pack

Apple has released a firmware update for the MagSafe Battery Pack, and it appears that the update has increased charging power from 5 to 7.5W.In a support document, Apple says that MagSafe Battery Pack owners can update the firmware to the new version 2.7.b.0, to get faster charging capabilities. The MagSafe Battery Pack can be updated by plugging it into the iPhone and waiting (the process can take up to a week), or by using a Mac or iPad to update within five minutes.
Apple suggests that users plug the Lightning cable into the MagSafe Battery Pack, then plug the USB port into the iPad or Mac to start the upgrade process. The MagSafe Battery Pack is compatible with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 line of smartphones.
