Amazon Game Studios has just released a new update for the New World test server, allowing players to check out some of the big changes that are coming in May.This is an opportunity for players to see what's on offer next month, as well as provide feedback to the development team.The upcoming May update is also pretty exciting, as it will finally see the release of PvP arenas.Here's a recap of what the new mode will entail: \"Step into the Arenas and test yourself against other fighters! 3v3 Arenas is a new small PvP game mode where teams of 3 can battle for glory and riches (plus some unique housing items)!Every match in the Arena is a \"Best of 5\" contest.Fight to become the first team to win 3 rounds and secure a match for your team.Rounds last 2 minutes, but if the battle drags on, a deadly ring of fire will push players to the center of the arena, forcing fighters to engage or die! Players at level 20 and above can queue up for the 3-on-3 arena by opening the \"Modes\" menu, allowing you to play PvP on demand from anywhere in Aeternum.If players need a brief glimpse of what the Arena is all about, they can talk to battle promoter Maximus Marcellus in Everfell.\"In addition to this, a new PvP rewards track has also been introduced.Essentially, players will be able to accumulate experience and Azoth Salt as they continue to participate in PvP, and these currencies can eventually be exchanged for rewards such as new achievements and ranks.Another major addition to the May update is the inclusion of Depths Expedition in the Mutator rotation.The previous update introduced Expedition Mutators, which are basically modifiers that make dungeons even more challenging.PTS New World has already launched, and you can read the full patch notes here.
