Sony has confirmed work on the next installment of Ghostbusters

CinemaCon, an event where major movie studios show theater owners around the country what movies are coming out in the very near future, kicked off today in Las Vegas.
It's also the place where studios tend to give a little information about what they're preparing in the future.
With that in mind, one of the main statements Sony Pictures made at the presentation was to confirm that the next \"Ghostbusters\" is on its way.And that's literally all we got.
What the movie will be about can be anyone's guess, but it shouldn't be a surprise, as last year's \"Ghostbusters: The Heirs\" was enjoyed by critics and fans of the franchise alike.
The film was also a modest hit at the box office, earning $197 million worldwide on a budget of $75 million. The film served as a nostalgic refresh for the franchise after a not-so-successful reboot in 2016, as well as simply fun and unique entertainment.
It brought horror elements back into the franchise, showed the return of the surviving Ghostbusters, and the new actors brought their own twist to the universe.
McKenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon played Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts perfectly.
