
The acquisitions of Eidos, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix Montréal have further expanded Embracer Group's already rich portfolio of brands.The gaming giant now has more than 14,000 employees and more than 900 franchisees across all studios.During a video conference held after the announcement of the acquisition of Square Enix's Western studios, an update on Embracer Group's firepower was presented.We're talking about 14,000 employees, including 10,000 developers spread across 124 of their own development studios.Embracer Group currently owns more than 900 IPs and franchises and plans to release more than 230 games in the future, more than 30 of which are triple-A.In addition to former Square Enix employees, the company includes studios such as Gearbox Software (which employs 1,300 people through its acquisition of Lost Boys Interactive) and Saber Interactive.There are also transmedia projects that include comic books, movies and TV series, as the company has diversified its acquisitions over the years to cover multiple markets, including publisher Dark Horse Media.And it appears that Embracer Group will continue to expand further, as it aims to invest $8 billion in acquisitions in the next few years.
