Nintendo Switch Sports topped the weekly UK retail chart

Nintendo Switch Sports was last week's biggest new entry, and not surprisingly, it debuted at the top of the weekly UK retail chart, according to data released by Gfk (via GamesIndustry).
While the game lagged behind Wii Sports (which was only sold bundled with the Wii) and Wii Sports Resorts in launch sales, accounting for less than half of their initial sales, it far outpaced Wii U Wii Sports Club, and outpaced other family-oriented Switch titles like Mario Party Superstars, Just Dance 2022 and Ring Fit Adventure.LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which has regularly topped the UK charts since launch last month, slipped to second place after sales fell 25% in a week.
Meanwhile, thanks to PS5 restocking, Gran Turismo 7 (up 152% in sales for the week) and Horizon Forbidden West (up 52% from the previous week) climbed to No.

Nintendo Switch exclusives like Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Animal Crossing: New Horizons continue to perform well, while Elden Ring at #7 and Grand Theft Auto 5 at #8 round out the top 10.
