Since Aspyr announced the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in September 2021, there hasn't been much news about the game.
It seems that the radio silence will be broken in the summer or fall.Aspyr is part of the Embracer Group.
During the latter's financial report, board member Matthew Karch said that the project will announce itself in the coming months.
Karch also mentioned that another Embracer subsidiary, Saber Interactive, is involved in production:Aspyr is trying its best to make this [remake] as good as possible.
When we acquired Aspyr, we knew from the beginning that it would need our help.
Saber has a lot of experience in making products like this.
We've done it with Halo - several parts of Halo - and we've done it with other games we've remastered for other platforms.
Especially when it's an old, very old game - we basically have to remake this game from scratch.
I'd say we'll start telling you more in the next few months.Dare we assume that news of the KotOR re-release will come out at one of the summer game shows.
We'll make sure you don't miss anything - the schedule of events will be published on our website next week.Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake will visit the PC and PlayStation 5.
The release date is unknown.KotOR is talked about starting at the 2:23:20 mark.
