
As part of the announcement of the deal between Embracer Group and Square Enix revealed the sales of not only Deus Ex, but Tomb Raider. Thus, the total number of sold games in the franchise reached an impressive 88 million copies - 38 million of them accounted for the trilogy-reboot, which began in 2013 with the eponymous Tomb Raider.At the same time the number of downloads of mobile projects on the universe exceeded 53 million - the list includes four games: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light; Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris; Lara Croft: Relic Run; Lara Croft Go. The average score for the entire series on Metacritic is 81% and 4.6 on the AppStore. The rights to Tomb Raider, as well as a number of other Square Enix series, are set to fall into the hands of the Embracer Group - along with the company's three game studios - once the deal is completed.The value of the agreement is $300 million. As previously known, a new installment of Tomb Raider itself is already in development - it is being created on Unreal Enige 5.That said, insider Jeff Grubb reports that that announcement originally sounded to potentially increase the value of the deal between Embracer and Square Enix.
