Interviews about Final Fantasy XVI: Battles, AI Allies, and No Open World

Fresh interviews with Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida have appeared on the web.
The creatures summoned in FFXVI are called eikons.
The main character, Clive, has an arsenal of powerful attacks and abilities based on summoning.
You can switch between abilities in real time, creating combinations. In some episodes of the game, the user controls an eikon in battle with another creature.
Each battle is unique - so, one resembles a 3D shooter, and another is made in the style of wrestling.Throughout most of the adventure Clive is accompanied by one or more companions.
They communicate with the protagonist and participate in battles (the characters are controlled by artificial intelligence). The wolf cub from the first trailer (see below) is named Torgal.
When asked if he will take part in battles, Yoshida asked to wait for news. The developers chose a fantasy Middle Ages setting for FFXVI simply because key team members, including Yoshida himself, love this style most.Final Fantasy XVI is not an open-world game: it uses \"gameplay design based on independent zones.\" The sixteenth installment will be the finished game on release, and there are no plans for additional content yet.The campaign shows three periods from Clive's life - adolescence, over 20 years, and over 30.FFXVI can already be completed from start to finish, but voice acting in several languages has yet to be recorded.
In addition, careful playtests are needed to adjust the game's difficulty, put the finishing touches on cutscenes and fix bugs. The third trailer is due out in the fall.
It will focus on the world, story and lore.Final Fantasy XVI will launch in the summer of 2023 on the PlayStation 5.
