Looks like the lost re-release of the iconic GoldenEye 007 will be out any day now

GoldenEye 007 for Nintendo 64 has an important place in video game history: it came out in 1997 and was a breakthrough for console shooters (and for the entire genre, too).
A few years later, a strange story happened: in 2007 they made a major re-release of GoldenEye 007 for the Xbox 360, but it could not be released because of problems with the rights holders.
It seems that Microsoft managed to solve the legal issues and the remake will be officially released.
In recent months around the GoldenEye 007 began to notice some suspicious activity: pictures of achievements resurfaced in the web, and the employees of Rare began to receive \"achivkas\" from the re-release.
Achievements from the GoldenEye 007 re-release have now appeared in the public domain: they can be viewed on the official Xbox website.
That means GoldenEye 007 is very close to launch.
So, the formal announcement (and, most likely, release) should take place very soon.
How about June 12 at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase summer showcase? Note that the GoldenEye 007 re-release for Xbox 360 was leaking to the Web in 2021.
The project was created as something between a remaster and a remake: the graphics were noticeably better, but the gameplay, level design and enemy layout were exactly the same as the original - right down to the fact that the old look can be returned at the touch of a button.
The re-release will probably appear in the same form on modern platforms.Read also February 1, 2021, 16:06 ⋅ 10 Full video walkthrough of the canceled GoldenEye 007 remake for Xbox 360
