Portal: Portal 2 beta levels and Half-Life 2 files found on Switch - The latter was able to run

Portal: Companion Collection has barely been released on Switch in a day, and modders have already begun picking it apart.
And for good reason - among the game's files were Portal 2's unseen before beta levels together with the developer's tools, as well as Half-Life 2's data.
The latter even managed to run on the Switch.Handyman under the nickname OatmealDome first reported about the files of the second Half-Life in the Portal set for Switch.
According to him, the developers left almost the entire game in the Companion Collection, with the exception of maps and music.
He speculated that he was faced with the remnants of the NVIDIA Shield version of Freeman's adventures-the first Portal and Half-Life 2 have been on the media console for a long time.
\"That said, the game has a lot of files that don't belong here: HL2 models, NPCs, voice recordings, and more,\" OatmealDome states.Later, he was allowed to run Half-Life 2 on the flashed Switch, downloading the missing maps.
The action is playable, but not without problems - it's still a pretty rough port.
Here's how the modder describes the gameplay:The game seems to work.
Sometimes it crashes, in some maps you can't move through the story, character animations are buggy, saves don't work, and cameras are located at the wrong coordinates.Other craftsmen have taken over the find.
Perhaps an unofficial port of the second Half-Life 2 will soon appear on the flashed Nintendo Switch.
As for the beta levels and Portal 2 tools, the blogger Ossy Flawol told the world about them.
He showed the unearthed locations: some of them are unfinished levels from the final game, and other rooms were used for testing.
For example, in the room with the name fizzlertest, the developers could test the effects of disintegration of objects due to the energy barrier.
There were also two rooms where Aperture Science keeps potential test subjects. The most curious thing is to look at the levels wakeup_anim_test and mp_coop_fling_train.The first map looks like a location from the first chapter of the story campaign.
Perhaps it is an earlier version of it.
Judging by the unused line found with the map, GLaDOS originally asked Chell to jump into the furnace.
There's also no water, but fog is present. The second, as the author of the video suggested, was the final stage of the cooperative mode.
It has seven puzzles, several of which carried over into the final version of Portal 2, as well as a unique escape room.
If we believe the unused replicas, in this version GLaDOS had to run some kind of radar to find people.Ossy Flawol does not exclude that with further research of the found material the game detectives will be able to dig up even more details.
