The Callisto Protocol will be even more violent than Dead Space

At Summer Game Fest 2022 they showed trailers of The Callisto Protocol, horror game from Dead Space creator Glen Schofield.
After event Eurogamer website spoke with Schofield, in particular we talked about other space action games and how TCP compared to Dead Space.
We have selected the most interesting from the interview.Originally, The Callisto Protocol was to be part of the universe of PUBG: Battlegrounds, but in May Scofield said that TCP is no longer relevant to the Battle Royale.
Now the developer has told us that the connection with PUBG was abandoned long ago - it happened naturally, just as the story and characters were being written. As Scofield recalls, it took him a year and a half to get the okay from Electronic Arts to create Dead Space.
In those days the company was engaged in projects on movie licenses like James Bond and Lord of the Rings, so it was hard to convince it to take a risk.A remake of the original Dead Space and a spiritual successor to Dead Space called Fort Solis are now in production.
Scofield wishes fellow developers good luck, but at the same time admits that it's strange to see someone else \"making [his] game.
\"The Callisto Protocol launches December 2, 2022, and just a couple of months later, on January 27, 2023, the Dead Space remake comes out.
Scofield has already resigned himself to the fact that his brainchild constantly neighbors with competitors - for example, his Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 saw the light a month after Battlefield 3.
There is nothing Scofield's team can do about it, so they just try to create the best game possible. The developer considers the story of the first Dead Space amazing.
Say, the game was quite popular and it collected a lot of awards, but it didn't sell too many copies.
However, now the documentary about the horror has millions of views, the sales have grown significantly over the years and almost every gamer has heard about \"Dead Space\".The approach to Dead Space creation was fundamentally different from the way Scofield and the company made games based on the movies.
Scofield doesn't know if The Callisto Protocol will be scarier than Dead Space, but he does say that the game is definitely more violent.
Striking Distance studio created a whole technology, responsible for the mutilation - the enemies realistic torn off the limbs and pieces of meat. For a plausible image of the wounds the developers were forced to study the shocking images - for example, pictures of the man who shot himself in the face.
As Scofield assured, this did not affect the mental state of the authors - over time they got used to the gruesome sight, roughly like nurses and doctors. The executive hopes that TCP will be successful enough to turn into a franchise. The Callisto Protocol will appear on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
